We’re thrilled to share that PAL Network has been chosen as one of the 20 civil society participants for the ‘TRAINING OPPORTUNITY FOR ORGANISATIONS SUPPORTING ROMA AND TRAVELLERS.’ This program, hosted by the European Roma Rights Centre (ERRC) and supported by the Council of Europe, is a significant recognition of our work in combating anti-Gypsyism. It’s also an excellent chance for us to enhance our capabilities in advocating for Roma and Traveller communities.
Here’s what we aim to achieve through this initiative:
- Reinforce Regular Dialogue: We’re committed to fostering more meaningful conversations between the Council of Europe and Roma communities. This dialogue will focus on critical policy matters concerning Roma inclusion.
2. Stimulate National Conversations: We’ll work towards promoting dialogues between member states and Roma organizations at the national level, aiming to drive positive change.
3. Provide Input: PAL Network will offer valuable insights to various Council of Europe entities, ensuring their programs remain effective for Roma and Traveller inclusion.
4. Capacity Building: We’re dedicated to elevating the potential of Roma and Traveller civil society organizations. This training will enhance our understanding of Council of Europe standards and monitoring mechanisms.
The highlight of this endeavor will be our participation in the Council of Europe Dialogue in Strasbourg in November. This is a significant step in strengthening our commitment to overseeing the execution of judgments.
We’re deeply honored and ready to take on this opportunity. Together, we’ll continue our mission to advocate for justice, equality, and empowerment for Roma and Traveller communities in Europe. Stay tuned for more updates!
