CJRAE Brasov was established in 2007 by order of the Minister of Education. It is an institutions of integrated special education, with legal personality, specialized in providing, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating specific educational services to direct and indirect beneficiaries of education, in order to ensure access to quality education for all, as well as the necessary assistance in this regard.
The main objectives of the CJRAE are:
a) to promote and support, through specific activities/programs, the inclusion of all children and young people in the compulsory education system, taking into account their psychological, cognitive, social, cultural and physical particularities;
b) promoting and supporting an inclusive, safe and supportive climate for all children and young people in educational establishments;
c) assessment, school and vocational guidance/orientation, psycho-educational assistance and educational support for children and young people with special educational needs (SEN), in cooperation with educational establishments. Educational support aims to identify specific needs, ensure optimal conditions for school, vocational and social integration, as well as empowerment and rehabilitation of children and young people with SEN. Supplementary educational support aims to ensure a quality instructional-educational process, in order to maximize the biopsychosocial potential of each child/young person;
d) detection and correction of language and communication disorders in pre-school and early school-age children, in order to reduce the risk of school failure;
e) counselling and career guidance of children/students for the identification of abilities, competences and interests; making meaningful decisions regarding education, training and occupation; managing individual life paths in learning, work and other situations in which these abilities and competences are learned and/or used;
f) psycho-pedagogical and methodological information and advice to teachers in order to optimize the educational activity of children/students;
g) providing information and psycho-pedagogical advice to parents/guardians/legal representatives in activities specific to the development, school adaptation, social integration of children/children, by facilitating collaboration between family, community and school;
h) organizing and coordinating the elaboration and realization of studies and researches of a socio-psychopedagogical nature adapted to the specific field of activity and in accordance with the identified needs.
