National network Rowni, formalized in a non-profit organization that collects different realities female present within national territory, our network was created to give strength and support to Roma women being often discriminated against not only because they are women but because Roma, ours is an association that promotes the inclusion in various fields (social- political and cultural) of Roma women, our task is to promote the labor market integration of projects that help to promote ‘integration of Roma in the Italian and European society, to fight those who are prejudice and discrimination which we tread, looking with our basic actions, respect for different cultural identities for equal dignity and the fundamental values of a civilized life. With our work we want to fight the stereotypes against Roma and all forms of discrimination, direct and indirect in relation to our population. We are trying to take small steps and then have the results, of course this is not easy, considering that we are supporting themselves by failing to provide a budget just like existing networks. What we want this work to produce is an alternative role model of a Roma woman, to offer a stable reference point for Roma girls and women in Italy, a chance to see that an empowering individual path is their right, and passionate and competent help in taking it in their own hands. This time Rowni promotes the first meeting of the network at a broader level, highlighting the different realities female Romni and not only as well as their best practices in the European strategy on inclusion planned for 2014 to 2020.
